“Take time to deliberate, but when the time for action has arrived, stop thinking and go in.”

The time to enter the war has almost come. Break the shackles gripping your mind. Release every thought, every tactic, that has been imprisoned. Set free every prisoner of war that you have subdued and captured from the army of the enemy.

The jailer holds the keys to each and every cell. Unlock the door for the correct inmate when the enemy supplies the optimal bail amount. No more, no less.

Enter the battlefield with a forceful initiative and let chaos erupt. Most importantly, take no prisoners. Not even the enemy’s mind. Just like a chain of events set into motion by one calculated move, you must break the single link holding the opponent’s mind together. His forces will flee and scatter. Shatter the locks and destroy each prison. The crucial objective that will win the war is to render the opponent’s jail useless.

Whenever someone tailgates me and then passes me up aggressively on local streets I start going “OH, WAOW” in a whiny, sarcastic tone. I just start mocking them for some reason. Then when I catch up to them at the red light, I feel this sense of justice for some reason.

Hello.. humble yourself and save your energy for something that is actually worthwhile. Just because other people do questionable things on the road.. why should you care? You have your path and your pace to get where you want to go. Don’t feel proud to show off your supposedly more efficient, superior method.. you’re just lowering yourself to their level. It’s a two-way street and you need to make sure you don’t miss your turn. Eyes on the road; there’s a bunch of distracting traffic.

“Throw off your worries when you throw off your clothes at night.”

“A true man hates no one.”

“You have enemies? Good. That means you’ve stood up for something, sometime in your life.”

I’ve always feared being not able to protect things that I love. This is why I would never reveal anything to anyone lest a situation arise where something I loved was revealed to an enemy.

Looking back.. If there’s not even a fight, then that is, ironically, a worse situation of not able to protect the things that you love.

“One must change one’s tactics every ten years if one wishes to maintain one’s superiority.”

Let the enemies and their weapons attack. The worst enemy, death, has already lost its sting. Love has already overcome. And Love will endure forever.

I just need to figure out what exactly I need to fight for. Not fight for as in, “There’s no point in fighting”, but fight for as in, “For what, exactly, will enemies rise up against me?”

You need to make sure the people you care for, know. You need to do this more often. This life here is too short. This is not a drill. I repeat. This. Is. Not. A. Drill. You know the goal of the operation. You don’t need to consider anything else.

Yeah, so what if people are surprised or whatever. This is irrelevant. There are things that need to be done. So do them. That is all you should be focusing on. You will make sure the operation is a success. Actually, no, you are not the surgeon..but you get the idea. You have been a patient. You will also be patient during operations.

It’s not easy. Things will be awkward. Of course it’s easier to just take the anesthesia. But no, you need to be awake for this. Again, you are not the surgeon. You will allow the surgeon to cut into you. Hey, look. You do bleed. You do have guts. There’s that heart thing. Now again, remember the operation. You don’t need to recall all the details. You don’t need to know how to perform the operation.

You just need to rip out that new heart and stitch it to your sleeve.

Damn it the surgeon is good.

OMW today, I did not see Jason standing there as I passed below a bridge.
OMW today, I saw, from the top of a bridge, a turtle swimming.

There were no disturbances and it was calm water, but the turtle was swimming. You could tell by the slow, outward ripples of the water.

Like Jason and like the turtle.. Am I too, back on my way?

“You do not have because you do not ask God.”

You’ve got this spirit of entitlement. You think you deserve certain things.. X, Y, Z. You think certain things deserve you.. because of X, Y, Z. And you want to prove it. Indignation fuels your spirit. Stop it. The burden of proof is not on you. Maybe you get what you think you deserve. Maybe you don’t get what you think you deserve. You’re always ready to provide examples for the former and counterexamples for the latter. When you’re not in control, you still think you are capable of overcoming anything.

Realize this. If you received what you actually deserved.. what would that be? Yeah, so… where did your argument go? Wasn’t it here a second ago? You need to humble your spirit. Learn to grow in thankfulness and love for the things you do have. Meditate upon the grace that you have been shown. Rejoice that you actually are receiving what you don’t deserve. You are receiving not just more, but abundantly more of what you don’t deserve.

There is a lesson you must learn. You think you understand what jealous feels like? And..who are you again? So what if you don’t receive what you imagine that you deserve. There is only one found worthy. How much greater is he than you? No, really, how much GREATER is he than you? How many times can you say GREATER and it won’t be enough? GREATER GREATER GREATER GREATER GREATER GREATER GREATER GREATER GREATER GREATER..GREATER GREATER..GREATER GREATER GREATER GREATER GREATER GREATER GREATER GREATER GREATER GREATER GREATER…

It’s not working.. You would have to continue this forever. Oh, yeah.. remember now? How great is that?

“…he jealously longs for the spirit…”

I was reading this post from this guy who stated his goal is to be number one. He talks about how he’ll look back and use this preemptive claim to further solidify his proof of the glory achieved when he reaches his goal.

It is an admirable spirit but not without flaws. Words will continue to be words. Just words. What do people seek to accomplish by declaring their dreams? Is it the need to share it with others that they might help relieve the burden? Is it an attempt to resolve the idea into the realm of reality?

Hyping up yourself is just a distraction in my opinion. Maybe some people are able to handle the pressure. But just as quickly as you rise, you will fall. What’s the rush? If you can’t control your excitement then you might lose it.

“There is only one step from the sublime to the ridiculous.”

“He who knows how to flatter also knows how to slander.”

Words, compliments, promises. All roll easy off the tongue. They are like a fire – easy to start. Impossible to extinguish. A small spark can consume a whole forest and turn it to ashes without a moment’s hesitation. They can provide warmth but also turn around and burn you.

What is harder to fake is an action. You must sow the seeds and wait for them to sprout. It is like cultivating a whole garden if you intend to grow it – of either weeds or flowers. But you can also have fake flowers and beautiful weeds. Fruits of an action are revealed at the harvest.

People are like snakes. Slithering around in a garden. The tongue slithers out and slithers back in. I barely trust actions; why do people think I’m easily flattered?
